Top 10 things you need to be able to do for the Chapter 2 test!

10. Be able to be able to write the time in German. 
9.Be able to spell a German word in a sentence after hearing it aloud. Study your flash cards with a partner to help prepare! 
8. Be able to answer questions in German such as: Bist du Svenas Freund? and Welcher Tag ist heute? Knowing the vocabulary is vital for this section so make sure you know it well! Practice the Chapter 2 vocab on Quizlet!
7.Be able to write the articles with your vocabulary words: der, die, and das
6.Be able to fill in the correct question words in a question. You need to know these question words: Wie? Wo? Was? and Wer? Study you notes for on question words for this section!
5. Be able to change a sentence to a question and a question into a sentence. Example: Kennt er Hanne nicht? ---> Er kennt Hanne nicht. 
4. Know the family terms and how they connect in a family tree. 
3. Be able to write out numbers 1-1000
2. Be able to write the days of the week in German spelled correctly. 
1. Be answer questions such as: Was machst du heute? and Um wie viel Uhr gehst du nach Hause? in complete sentences!

The top 12 things you need to know for the Chapter 1 Test.

12. You need to know the verbs gehen, heißen, wohnen, kommen, and kennen.
11. You will need to know situations when you use du and when you use Sie.
10. You will need to be able to tell whether a statement is logical or illogical. This means you need to practice your question phrases and responses. 
9. You will need to be able to answer the questions we have been working with in German. Ex: Wie geht's? Woher kommst du? usw.
8. You will need to know how to ask questions in German when prompted with the English. To do this you need to know your German vocabulary. Flashcards are a must! Study them and practice on Quizlet. 
7. You will need  to be able to pull from a word bank to complete sentences. To do this you will need to know what all of the words mean. How will you know? By studying your vocabulary!
6. You will need to be able to spell the numbers 1-20 in German. Practice writing them out to help you or have someone quiz you.
5.You will also need to be able to finish a German sentence without a word bank. Practicing the phrases we use in class and in your book will help you!
4. You will need write to appropriate responses to questions in German with complete sentences. German word order is very important! Remember the verb is in the second position!
3. You need to know the German greetings and farewells.
2. You will need to know the conjugation of sein with German pronouns. 
1. You must know the conjugation of regular verbs and be able to write them in German and in English!
